Okay, so I was at @keenangaynor’s place a few days ago, and we’re cleaning up his basement to get ready for Mack Flinn practice, because we’re playing in Garwood tomorrow night (08.20.09). Keenan’s rummaging through this old box and finds, to my astonishment, a copy of the CD my first band made back in the early millenium. We were 13 or 14 yrs old, I guess…except for Craig who was maybe 16.
Band: Another Perfect Tuesday

Lineup:
Craig McCarthy: vocals and not enough screaming
Andrew Roibal: guitars and a fast foot on the distortion box
Joey “me” Stasio: drums and backup whining
Lee Tetreault: bass solos
We recorded the CD (tape) on a 4-track Tascam Casette Recorder, dating back to the early ’80s if I’m not mistaken. That means, that we recorded an entire drumset on 1 microphone. Anyway, after we finished recording, I distinctly remember laying on my stomach in Lee’s basement, riding the faders as we “mixed” down each track, each of us on a different instrument, remembering cues and when to cut the vocals down and when to bring the bass solos up. I had to throw this into Pro Tools and beef it up a little because it was almost half the volume of a normal song, and about as lo-fi as it gets. Ah, this is too good. Stream this sucker, below, or download the whole thing.
“New Life”
“Words For Me”
“Watching The World Burn”

There’s a bonus track on the album download - that’s right, an unreleased APT track ::crowd roars::
